Responsibilities

  • Design social and behavioural change strategies to interrupt poliovirus transmission
  • Generate demand for polio vaccination and routine immunisation
  • Address vaccine hesitancy, refusals, missed children and behavioural barriers
  • Manage and monitor social mobilisation between vaccination rounds
  • Provide technical assistance during polio outbreak responses
  • Build advocacy partnerships and coordinate government, community and programme stakeholders
  • Evaluate communication interventions and use behavioural evidence for decisions

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in social and behavioural change communication, public health, health promotion, community health, sociology, anthropology, psychology, biomedical sciences or a related field
  • At least eight years of progressively responsible professional experience
  • Experience designing and managing social and behavioural change or social communication programmes
  • Experience in immunisation or polio programming
  • Fluency in English
