Nutrition Officer

Supports early childhood nutrition programmes across design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, with emphasis on the first 1,000 days, infant and young child feeding, complementary diets and malnutrition prevention. The role helps improve equitable nutrition outcomes for children.

Department: Early Childhood Nutrition Programme

• Provide technical, operational and programme support throughout the early childhood nutrition programme cycle
• Contribute to programme design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and results reporting
• Support interventions on infant and young child feeding, complementary diets, micronutrients, growth monitoring and malnutrition prevention
• Integrate nutrition with early childhood development, nurturing care and multisectoral programmes
• Build partnerships, manage knowledge and strengthen implementing capacity

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, public health, nutritional epidemiology, global or international health and nutrition, health research, policy or management, health sciences or another health-related field
• At least two years of professional experience in a developing country in nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management, or maternal, infant and child health and nutrition care
• Experience in programme development, planning, management, monitoring and implementation support
• Proficiency in English
