Responsibilities
- Set strategic priorities for the country programme and office operations
- Lead policy dialogue on population, development and reproductive health and rights
- Build alliances with government, civil society, donors, academia and the private sector
- Direct staff performance, learning, recruitment and organisational accountability
- Drive resource mobilisation, donor relations and efficient use of programme funds
- Represent UNFPA in the UN Country Team and humanitarian coordination structures
- Oversee results-based management, financial controls and audit compliance
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in public health, medicine, sociology, demography, gender, international relations, development, economics, public administration, management or a related field
- At least ten years of progressively responsible public-administration and international-development experience
- At least seven years of international experience in population and development, sexual and reproductive health or humanitarian work
- Proven ability to lead teams to high-quality results
- National and international advocacy and policy-dialogue experience
- Essential field experience
- Fluency in English
