Supports UNCTAD’s business applications by resolving user requests, helping design, develop, test and maintain customised software, safeguarding data integrity and recovery, and assuring mobile application and device quality in collaboration with users and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process user requests and provide technical support for assigned software applications
  • Support application planning, requirements specification, design, development, implementation and maintenance
  • Build, test and modify application prototypes under senior technical guidance
  • Redevelop and maintain customised and legacy asset management applications
  • Support application security, data integrity, recovery and operational maintenance
  • Coordinate with users and developers on needs assessments and changing system requirements
  • Research, test and evaluate new products and technologies
  • Configure and assure the quality of mobile applications, devices, connectivity and usability

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least five years of experience in information systems analysis and programming, systems administration and maintenance, software development, technical writing or related areas, reduced to three years with a first-level university degree
  • English at United Nations Level III in reading, writing, listening and speaking
