Job Description
Support IOM's DTM REMAP project from Berlin by researching, analysing and visualising human-mobility data for Central and South Asia. The internship contributes to dashboards, information sheets, reports, quality assurance, data-validation scripts, documentation and data queries, while applying IOM data-protection and IT standards and working with the global DTM support team to deliver reliable migration evidence.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Research, draft dashboards and prepare migration-data products
- Compile, analyse and visualise human-mobility data
- Develop quality-assurance and data-validation systems
- Develop scripts and tests for data validation
- Maintain metadata, backup procedures and process documentation
- Develop data queries and support data pulls from databases
Role Requirements
- Degree in computer science, engineering, analytics or a related field
- Two years of relevant professional experience
- Fluency in English
- Right of residence and right to work in Germany
Desired Criteria
- Experience with natural-language processing and sentiment analysis
- Data-visualisation experience using HTML5, JavaScript, AngularJS, NodeJS or D3
- Working knowledge of Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Russian or Uzbek
- Knowledge of another official UN language
