Job Description
Supports ESCAP’s Population and Social Statistics Section with research, analysis and communication across gender, census, migration, disability and civil-registration topics. The intern reviews evidence, drafts technical materials, supports regional meetings and training, and helps share statistical knowledge.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews and research on population and social-statistics topics
- Support work on gender statistics, censuses, migration, displacement, statelessness and disability statistics
- Contribute to work on population registers, citizen-generated data and civil registration and vital statistics
- Draft background papers, presentations, blogs and technical documentation
- Support meetings, training events and regional workshops
- Contribute to capacity-building materials and activities
- Update newsletters, websites and knowledge-sharing platforms
Role Requirements
- Enrollment in or completion of a graduate programme, or enrollment in or completion of the final academic year of a first university degree
- English proficiency
- Ability to work full-time in person in Bangkok
- No professional work experience is required
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of another official United Nations language
