Overview
Collect and validate mobility data for IOM Kyrgyzstan through key-informant interviews, observation and follow-up across the country. The volunteer prepares field plans, protects confidentiality and consent, records daily work, uploads accurate surveys to Kobo and reports field findings and challenges.

Responsibilities
- Interview community leaders, service providers, diaspora representatives and returned migrants
- Check interview data for accuracy and completeness and conduct direct observation
- Conduct follow-up interviews and take consented photographs
- Prepare fieldwork plans, schedules and target locations
- Protect respondent privacy, informed consent and data security
- Coordinate daily activities with field supervisors and community focal points
- Cross-check information and maintain daily interview records
- Upload completed surveys to Kobo and submit a narrative report
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or higher in sociology, economics or a related field
- At least one year of community or household assessment and survey experience
- Knowledge of migration and development
- Kyrgyz and Russian
