Information Management Assistant (Data and Research)

The assistant supports IOM Lebanon's migration and displacement evidence by designing data tools, maintaining databases, assuring collection quality, cleaning and analysing data, producing dashboards, reports and maps, strengthening monitoring frameworks, training partners and applying data-protection standards.

Department: Data and Research Unit

• Apply data-protection guidance to migration data collection and research
• Develop and maintain databases and data-collection and analysis tools
• Monitor data quality across encoding, storage and processing workflows
• Clean primary and secondary data for analysis and reporting
• Build dashboards, reports and visualisations for operational decisions
• Draft analytical products aligned with global IOM reporting standards
• Produce operational and strategic maps for planning and donor reporting
• Train staff and partners and develop data-collection procedures and materials

• High school diploma with four years of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a similar field with two years of relevant experience
• Experience in information management
• Experience in database management and GIS mapping
• Experience designing data collection and using advanced data packages and KoBo
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, displaced people, trafficking survivors or other vulnerable groups
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Arabic

• Locally recruited position requiring valid residence and work authorisation in Lebanon
• Selection may be used to fill similar positions for 24 months
