Overview
Leads regional implementation of UN Women’s Women Count programme across Latin America and the Caribbean, strengthening gender-statistics production, SDG monitoring and data use through technical assistance, capacity development, partnerships, advocacy, knowledge management and results monitoring.

Responsibilities
- Lead regional planning and implementation of the Women Count programme
- Provide technical and policy support on gender statistics and SDG monitoring
- Develop guidance, methodologies, assessments and data-use plans
- Train country and programme offices and lead a regional community of practice
- Build partnerships with governments, donors, international agencies, civil society and private-sector actors
- Advocate for stronger gender data and mobilize programme resources
- Oversee monitoring plans, targets, indicators and evaluation of regional results
- Codify lessons, use cases and best practices in gender-statistics production and use
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in statistics, economics or a related field, or a first degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least seven years of progressive experience in statistics
- Experience in gender equality and women’s empowerment
- Computer, office-software, spreadsheet, database and web-based management-system experience
- Fluency in English and Spanish
