Overview
UN Women seeks a statistical demographer to shape Senegal's Gender Data Lab. The consultant will diagnose available gender data, define and validate priority indicators and metadata, harmonise sources, guide dashboard design, prepare chatbot knowledge content and strengthen the statistics agency's analytical capacity.

Responsibilities
- Assess available gender data, systems and analytical gaps
- Identify and document priority gender indicators aligned with national and global frameworks
- Harmonise statistical sources and develop metadata and a data dictionary
- Define functional requirements for dashboards and analytical products
- Validate statistical outputs and quality assurance processes
- Prepare structured knowledge content for the platform's chatbot
- Train agency staff and coordinate statistical inputs across the project team
Requirements
- Engineering degree in statistics and demography or an equivalent qualification
- At least two years of experience in statistics, demography or data analysis
- Experience analysing census or survey data
- Knowledge of gender statistics and Sustainable Development Goal indicators
- Fluency in French
