Investment Research Support Volunteer

Remote UN Volunteer assignment supporting UNDP Mozambique's economic research by sourcing investment information across sectors and provinces, validating figures with public and private stakeholders, resolving discrepancies and maintaining structured Excel datasets.

Department: Economic Advisory Team

• Source investment information from government, company, media and database sources
• Organise investments by sector, province, amount, year, source and status
• Review records for errors, missing information and conflicting figures
• Contact companies, agencies and other stakeholders to validate data
• Maintain consistent, well-structured Excel datasets
• Flag discrepancies and synthesise findings for the Economic Advisory Team

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data entry, organisation and monitoring
• Ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in datasets
• Ability to gather and synthesise information from reports, websites, databases, news and organisational records
• Clear written and spoken English and Portuguese
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions carefully
