Responsibilities
- Advise Ethiopian ministries and payment-system actors on scaling digital health and government payments
- Develop implementation frameworks, pilot approaches and monitoring arrangements for switch-based payments
- Coordinate stakeholders across finance, health, central banking and national payment infrastructure
- Monitor priority payment use cases and identify implementation issues and good practices
- Support Africa CDC partnerships, regional learning and advocacy on digital health payments
- Produce guidance, knowledge products and reports on responsible government digital payments
Requirements
- Advanced degree in economics, finance, public health, information technology or a related field, or bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least two years of relevant experience with a master’s degree or four years with a bachelor’s degree
- Experience designing, implementing or advising on digital payment systems in developing countries
- Experience supporting national government payment digitisation with public-sector and payment-system actors
- Fluency in English
