Responsibilities
- Coordinate international outreach with governments, development banks, investors and philanthropies
- Design technical assistance for adaptation investment strategies and project pipelines
- Support countries in accessing grants and other finance from climate funds and financial institutions
- Build the adaptation-finance capacity of Ethiopian officials and institutions
- Oversee implementation of the Brazzaville drinking-water capacity initiative
- Develop briefings, reports, knowledge products and advocacy events for strategic partners
Requirements
- Advanced degree in economics, finance, environment, international development, public policy or a related discipline, or bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least five years of relevant experience with a master’s degree or seven years with a bachelor’s degree
- Experience in development finance and climate adaptation or resilience projects
- Experience assessing adaptation interventions and project bankability
- Experience working with emerging economies and developing countries
- Fluency in English
