Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation of IFACC activities, monitor delivery difficulties and initiate remedial action
- Manage UNEP personnel and consultants against clear workplans and delivery schedules
- Engage public and private financiers to expand catalytic capital for agricultural transition
- Coordinate with TNC, WEF, government agencies, finance institutions, supply-chain companies and civil society
- Manage substantive donor reporting and coordinate financial reporting through UNEP systems
- Identify synergies with other climate-finance and ecosystem projects
- Assess potential IFACC expansion into Sub-Saharan Africa or South East Asia
- Analyse programme data and present trends through visual reports for planning and decisions
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in sustainable finance, economics, business analytics, environment, agricultural economics, a quantitative field or a related area, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in sustainable finance, sustainable agricultural supply chains, private-sector engagement or project management
- At least two years of experience at international level
- Experience working with or within private finance institutions
- English at UN Level II in reading, writing, listening and speaking
- Authorisation to work for the United Nations at the Nairobi duty station
