Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain and technically support country-office databases
  • Plan and supervise data collection, entry, verification and standard reporting
  • Analyse and respond to reporting requests from UN Women personnel
  • Coordinate additional data-collection methodologies and analysis with programme staff
  • Administer registration databases and supervise data entry and reporting
  • Train UN Women staff in database design, administration and management
  • Maintain reliable, secure and regularly updated gender-based-violence mapping data
  • Produce timely, accurate reports supporting monitoring and programme decisions

Requirements

  • Education in computer science or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience with relational databases, database administration and data management
  • Experience in strategic planning, performance measurement, indicator selection and quantitative and qualitative data collection
  • Strong relevant information-technology skills
  • Proven analytical ability in information-systems development
  • Ability to identify business problems and formulate recommendation options
  • Fluency in French
