Responsibilities
- Deliver geospatial data analysis using baseline and operational information
- Maintain common operational and thematic datasets for humanitarian partners
- Create and maintain geospatial databases and analytical tools for emergency preparedness and response
- Design reference and thematic maps using OCHA standards and operational datasets
- Develop and maintain online GIS portals and dashboards
- Coordinate geospatial data requests and analysis with stakeholders
- Produce maps, infographics, charts, reports and advocacy materials
- Support needs assessments, scenario development and multi-sector analysis
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a first-level university degree accepted in lieu of two years of required experience
- At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in GIS, data analysis, mapping, data visualisation, information management or related areas, reduced to five years with a first-level university degree
- At least three years of experience using GIS software and business intelligence tools to support decision-making
- At least one year of experience in data analysis and GIS in the humanitarian field in the Asia-Pacific region
- Fluency in English and Thai
- Applicants must be authorised to work for the United Nations in Thailand
