Project Assistant (GIS/Data Analyst DTM)

Supports IOM Venezuela's emergency response with GIS data management, mapping, geospatial products and DTM database support to inform displacement tracking, humanitarian needs analysis and coordinated response decisions.

Department: Displacement Tracking Matrix

• Visualise and map data while assuring data consistency using GIS tools
• Create country atlases and update base maps for response requirements
• Manage metadata for IOM data collection and IOM Geo Portal content
• Support web GIS geoportal design and maintenance for the emergency response
• Maintain spatial data infrastructure for geoprocessing and dataset interoperability
• Prepare maps and spatial information products for DTM emergency response planning
• Support GIS databases, applications and production systems
• Coordinate implementation activities with authorities, partners, UN agencies and donors

• Master's degree in information systems, geography, cartography or a related field with two years of relevant experience, or a university degree with four years
• Experience managing or working with DTM data, datasets and databases
• Experience in database information systems development using SQL or Oracle
• Experience in complex data quality control operations
• Experience in geography, cartography, GIS, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro and graphic design
• Advanced proficiency with ArcGIS tools
• Proficiency in webserver and web mapping
• Fluency in Spanish and English
