Information and Communications Technology Associate

Provides specialised ICT support for implementing and maintaining IOM's MIDAS border management system in Lesotho, supporting government counterparts, roll-out, troubleshooting and training.

Department: Immigration and Border Governance Division

• Provide technical input to MIDAS project plans and implementation timelines
• Support technical and performance assessments and assessment reports
• Document government counterpart requirements and relay customisation requests
• Prepare hardware and software requirements for procurement
• Coordinate technical infrastructure activities at border crossing points
• Install, configure and test MIDAS workstations and servers
• Deliver MIDAS installation and user training
• Support data management, backups, upgrades, monitoring and troubleshooting

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, telecommunications engineering, information technology or related field with three years of professional experience, or high school diploma with five years of professional experience
• Strong experience in ICT equipment, systems and networking troubleshooting
• Experience in VPN and firewall setup including CISCO devices
• Experience training users and providing ICT support to software end-users
• Knowledge of web server setup and management including IIS
• Fluency in English

• Duty travel may be required for MIDAS implementation
• Appointment is subject to funding confirmation, medical fitness, accreditation, residency or visa requirements and security clearances
• Selection may be used for similar positions for 24 months
