Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face interviews with migrants and follow up on incomplete responses
- Record field observations and obtain written consent before taking photographs
- Develop a migrant story and submit a narrative report after data collection
- Protect respondent privacy, informed consent and data confidentiality
- Prepare fieldwork plans, transport costs, equipment and daily target areas
- Coordinate daily activities with field supervisors and community focal points
- Check the accuracy and completeness of collected survey data
- Upload completed survey forms to KOBO for the data-management team
Requirements
- Background in sociology, economics, information technology or a related field
- Knowledge of migration and development concepts
- Good spoken and written Russian and Kazakh
- Ability to work respectfully with community members and authorities in challenging field settings
- Security awareness and familiarity with KOBO or ODK
