Responsibilities

  • Conduct village-level Baseline Mobility Assessments with community leaders and local authorities
  • Interview international migrant workers using structured survey instruments
  • Coordinate daily schedules and target areas with field supervisors
  • Prepare tablets, phones, paper forms and other field resources
  • Validate information through multiple sources when required
  • Maintain respondent confidentiality, informed consent and ethical data collection
  • Keep detailed activity and interview records
  • Upload complete assessment forms to KOBO and document field challenges

Requirements

  • Background in sociology, economics, information technology or a related field
  • Knowledge of migration and development concepts
  • Good spoken and written Russian and Kazakh
  • Ability to work respectfully with community members and authorities in challenging field settings
  • Security awareness and familiarity with KOBO or ODK
  • Ability to travel to designated villages and rural areas
