Job Description

Supports IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix team in Bosnia and Herzegovina by collecting, checking and processing migration-flow information. The consultant conducts approved surveys, investigates multiple sources, reports population movements and emergencies, and follows DTM quality, confidentiality and deadline requirements. The work informs protection-sensitive humanitarian and migration-management responses for migrants moving towards Europe.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Collect and process survey data under DTM guidance
  • Meet assessment deadlines and quality requirements
  • Verify data from multiple sources
  • Report population movements and emergencies
  • Submit surveys to DTM focal points and address observations
  • Follow organisational confidentiality and security requirements
  • Support flow monitoring and migrant-presence surveys

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Experience in field data collection and interviews
  • Working knowledge of English and Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of Arabic, Persian, Turkish or Pashto
  • Experience working with migrants or an international organisation
