Job Description
Supports UNHCR Moldova’s Cash-Based Intervention unit by maintaining reliable operational data for cash assistance to vulnerable refugees. The associate manages databases, payment-tracking and reporting tools; verifies, reconciles and analyses data; and works with data-management, registration, protection and external partners to strengthen targeting, monitoring and accountable programme delivery.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Manage and provide technical support for operational databases, including data collection, input, verification and reporting
- Generate standard and ad-hoc statistical reports, charts and tables for management
- Train UNHCR and implementing-partner staff on relevant data-management practices
- Coordinate with GIS colleagues to maintain compatible data-collection processes
- Archive and back up database systems, safeguard their security and perform database-administration functions
- Develop applications, databases, forms and tools that support office data collection and analysis
- Keep client databases accurate, current and accessible
- Maintain payment, targeting and reconciliation tracking tools for cash-based interventions and prepare CBI reports
Role Requirements
- Three years of relevant experience with a high-school diploma, or two years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Knowledge of English
- Moldovan citizenship or legal status necessary to work in Moldova
Desired Criteria
- Experience with UNHCR, the United Nations or other international public-sector organizations
- Knowledge of operational data management and cash-based interventions in humanitarian settings
- Knowledge of database creation, manipulation and reporting tools
