Analyses UNHCR India post-distribution monitoring data for food and cash assistance to refugees and asylum-seekers. Summary of Responsibilities

  • Review, clean and structure the post-distribution monitoring dataset
  • Analyse quantitative data by demographic, geographic and programme variables
  • Identify trends, patterns, gaps and notable findings
  • Create accurate analytical tables, charts and data visualizations
  • Review qualitative responses and integrate relevant themes with quantitative findings
  • Interpret results against monitoring objectives and indicators
  • Draft the methodology, findings, conclusions and recommendations for the report
  • Revise analysis and reporting in response to UNHCR feedback

Role Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative data analysis using survey, monitoring, assessment or programme data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and at least one analysis or visualization tool such as Power BI, R, Python, SPSS or Stata
  • Experience in data cleaning, descriptive analysis, disaggregation and visualization
  • Strong analytical report-writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and incorporate feedback

Desired Criteria

  • University degree or advanced studies in statistics, economics, social sciences, development studies, data science, monitoring and evaluation or a related field
  • Experience with humanitarian, development, refugee or displacement programmes
  • Experience with post-distribution monitoring, surveys or needs assessments
