Summary of Responsibilities
- Participate in mandatory UNHCR briefings and interviewer training
- Explain the interview purpose and obtain informed consent from respondents
- Conduct telephone interviews with sampled food or cash-assistance recipients
- Verify the type, quantity, timing, accessibility and use of assistance
- Collect feedback on satisfaction, timeliness, adequacy and appropriateness
- Record responses accurately in designated digital data-collection tools
- Perform data-quality checks and submit completed questionnaires on time
- Maintain neutrality, confidentiality, safeguarding and data-protection standards
Role Requirements
- Strong communication and interviewing skills, including neutral questioning, active listening and accurate recording
- Ability to engage respectfully and patiently with refugee and asylum-seeking communities
- Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, impartiality and ethical data collection
Desired Criteria
- University studies or a degree in social sciences, development studies, humanitarian studies, statistics or a related field
- Experience in surveys, assessments, community outreach, monitoring or humanitarian programmes
- Familiarity with KoboToolbox, ODK or another mobile data-collection platform
