Mechanical Engineer

Designs, reviews and supervises mechanical systems for UNOPS water, irrigation and building-rehabilitation projects in Deir-ez-Zor. The engineer supports procurement and tender evaluation, develops drawings, verifies pumps and technical submittals, leads installation and commissioning oversight, and assures that infrastructure designs, documentation and meet international standards.

• Coordinate installation of mechanical systems for water supply and irrigation infrastructure
• Design and review pumps, borehole equipment, pipework and valves
• Design building mechanical services including HVAC, fire safety and plumbing
• Prepare and evaluate tender specifications and bills of quantities
• Review technical submittals and shop drawings
• Supervise testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical deliverables

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with two years of relevant experience
• Experience designing, supervising and constructing mechanical, firefighting and plumbing systems
• AutoCAD drafting skills and HAP software proficiency
• Intermediate English and fluent Arabic

• Mechanical engineering licence or board certification
