Job Description
The consultant will help UNICEF and Tajikistan's government strengthen the national response for child victims and witnesses of violence, particularly sexual violence. The assignment centres on evidence-based, child-friendly multidisciplinary services, drawing on legal and institutional assessment, feasibility-study expertise and international service models to inform practical national action.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support national evidence-based and child-friendly responses for child victims and witnesses of violence
- Conduct feasibility studies, institutional assessments and legal assessments
- Assess multidisciplinary and interagency service responses
- Apply expertise on Barnahus and comparable service models
- Engage government, justice and social-service counterparts in complex assignments
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 10 years' progressively responsible experience in child protection, justice for children, violence against children or systems strengthening
- Experience conducting feasibility studies, institutional and legal assessments and multidisciplinary responses
- Knowledge of the NICHD Protocol or another recognised evidence-based forensic interviewing methodology
- Excellent command of English
Desired Criteria
- Experience with child protection, justice and social protection reforms in Eastern Europe and Central Asia
- Experience in Tajikistan or Central Asia
- Experience developing or implementing national forensic interviewing protocols
- Experience training justice and social-service professionals on trauma-informed practice
- Experience facilitating high-level consultations and capacity-building initiatives
