Witness Support Intern

Supports IIIM-Syria’s witness-support work by researching psychosocial practice, updating culturally informed care guides, translating an evaluation toolkit into Arabic, documenting meetings and producing a paper that strengthens services for victims and witnesses.

Department: Operational Support Section

• Research best practices for psychosocial support to witnesses
• Review and update the Cultural Expressions of Distress Guide
• Review and update the Facilitating with Care Guide
• Translate the psychosocial evaluation toolkit into Arabic
• Draft accurate meeting minutes
• Prepare a paper on a witness-support topic

• Current or completed graduate study, or current or completed final year of a bachelor’s degree
• Academic study in industrial-organisational, clinical or forensic psychology or another closely related field
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Teams
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic

• Unpaid full-time internship for up to six months
• Designed for remote work with in-person or hybrid options subject to agreement
