Geospatial Analysts – Satellite Imagery and GIS

Produces office-based geospatial analysis for United Nations Satellite Centre operations, transforming satellite imagery into maps, datasets, web services and technical reports while refining GIS workflows, quality controls, GeoAI methods and training materials with Geneva teams.

• Analyse satellite imagery using remote sensing, GIS and relevant artificial-intelligence methods
• Acquire, process and quality-check geospatial datasets
• Produce maps, web services, datasets and analytical reports
• Conduct damage, change, land-use, infrastructure and conflict-related analysis
• Develop and document analytical workflows, tools and automation
• Support project tracking, technical reporting and knowledge products
• Prepare datasets and exercises for geospatial training

• Holds a university degree in GIS, remote sensing, geography or a related field
• Has three to five years of geospatial-analysis experience
• Has experience interpreting satellite imagery and producing maps, datasets and analytical outputs
• Is fluent in English

• Humanitarian or operational geospatial experience is desirable
• Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable
