Job Description
Generates evidence and practical recommendations on how inclusive social-protection systems can strengthen climate resilience for women and girls with disabilities in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The consultant reviews climate vulnerabilities, conducts stakeholder consultations and evidence synthesis, identifies good practices, examines shock-responsive social protection, and develops.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Review climate vulnerabilities for women and girls and social-protection responses
- Conduct stakeholder consultations and analyse research and reports
- Identify global and regional good practices
- Examine gender-responsive disability-inclusive resilience to climate shocks
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for resilient social-protection systems
- Create practical guidance and learning materials for UNICEF and partners
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in social policy development studies gender studies development economics public policy climate change environmental studies social sciences or related field
- At least ten years of social protection climate resilience climate-change adaptation disaster-risk-management or related international-development experience
- Policy analysis evidence synthesis research and knowledge-product-development experience
- At least two years of Southeast Asia professional experience
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Working knowledge of a Southeast Asian language
- Gender-disability intersectionality experience
- Capacity-building frameworks training curricula learning materials or facilitation resources
- UNICEF UN-agency or multilateral-organization experience
- Multi-country Southeast Asia experience
