Job Description
Serves as a finance expert on the Security Council Panel concerning Haiti, monitoring sanctions measures and investigating alleged violations or non-compliance. The home-based consultancy contributes financial analysis, evidence-based reporting, recommendations and outreach that support the Committee’s work on threats to peace and security, including organised crime, illicit finance and arms trafficking.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor sanctions measures and investigate alleged violations
- Prepare Panel reporting and recommendations
- Analyse political and financial developments relevant to Haiti
- Conduct missions and consultations to gather evidence
- Classify and archive investigation materials
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in military science, political science, international relations, law, finance, journalism or a related field
- At least ten years of relevant experience including three years of field experience
- Field research or investigative experience and high-quality report writing
- Fluency in English and French
Desired Criteria
- Experience in Haiti, sanctions regimes or UN Secretariat procedures is desirable
- Knowledge of Creole is an advantage
