Finance Associate

Supports IOM Washington’s financial operations by processing payments, maintaining accounting records and monitoring project budgets. The role verifies invoices, reconciles vendor, bank and project accounts, assists with financial reporting and project proposals, and applies IOM financial controls and accounting standards across office and donor-funded work.

• Monitor financial resources, assets, reserves and supplies in line with IOM rules
• Process invoices and payment requests through the WAVE Oracle System
• Verify project charges, general-ledger accounts and budget-line allocations
• Review vendor payments and supporting documentation for authorisation and completeness
• Reconcile invoices, credit-card transactions, bank accounts and outstanding vendor balances
• Prepare donor-compliant financial reports and support project budget reviews
• Update financial and budgetary information for project proposals and revisions in PRIMA

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with five years
• Fluent oral and written English
