Senior Budget Associate

Supports financial management for IOM Türkiye project portfolios by monitoring resources, cash flow, expenditure and payroll. The role provides managers and project teams with financial information, prepares donor reports and programme budgets, analyses variances, maintains financial records and helps ensure expenses and commitments are accurately charged under IOM and donor rules.

• Monitor project assets, reserves, funds and supplies under IOM rules
• Provide regular and ad hoc financial information for management decisions
• Oversee financial management of project activities and report project status to managers, donors and stakeholders
• Forecast project cash flows and ensure commitments, salaries and expenses are accurately recorded
• Prepare donor financial reports and analyse project finances against donor agreements
• Prepare annual and new-programme budgets and analyse budget variances
• Execute payroll validity checks and prepare monthly payroll
• Review budget proposals and coordinate correct cost charging with project managers

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration or a related field with at least four years of relevant professional experience, or a High School degree with at least six years
• Experience in financial management, budgeting and systems review
• Experience in accounting, finance, banking and treasury
• Fluency in English and Turkish
