Job Description

Provides financial monitoring and reporting support to IOM’s Greece Country Office. The role prepares analyses of commitments and staff costs, records and clears project expenses in WAVE and PRIMA, supports cost allocations and forecasts, and works with project managers, HR and administrative teams to keep project budgets, documentation and salary allocations accurate and compliant.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial analysis, monitoring and risk reports on commitments and staff-cost allocations
  • Activate and revise projects in WAVE and PRIMA while liaising with Manila Administrative Center units
  • Record project expenses in WAVE in line with financial-management rules
  • Clear unallocated expenses and maintain complete supporting records
  • Prepare common-office cost allocations and financial forecasts with project managers
  • Prepare monthly staff projectizations with HR and obtain required approvals
  • Ensure salaries are allocated to projects in accordance with IOM criteria

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, finance, management, accounting or a related field with at least two years of relevant professional experience, or a high school degree/certificate with at least four years
  • Fluency in English and Greek
  • Flexibility to relocate to Athens if needed and to travel

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge or certification of IPSAS
  • Experience with international humanitarian, governmental or non-governmental organizations in a multicultural setting
  • Knowledge of IOM accounting systems and PRISM-FI procedures
