Job Description
Supports UNODC’s Budget Section in Vienna with cost-recovery calculations, workload statistics and financial controls for the Division for Management. The temporary G-4 assistant verifies client submissions, calculates and submits rate cards, issues and follows up invoices, performs monthly reconciliations, maintains files and databases, and keeps the cost manual’s approved rates current.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Obtain workload statistics and maintain detailed documentation of collected data sources
- Verify client submissions and calculate cost-recovery rate cards for headquarters validation
- Calculate fees, issue invoices and journal vouchers, and follow up arrears
- Distribute credits to clients when due and perform monthly reconciliations
- Maintain paper and electronic files and databases for the work unit
- Improve the cost manual layout and ensure approved rates are updated
Role Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years of finance or budget experience, reduced to one year for candidates with a first-level university degree or higher
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and word-processing applications
- Experience using enterprise resource planning systems
- English is required
- Applicants must be authorised to work for the United Nations in the Vienna duty station
Desired Criteria
- Finance or budget experience with a United Nations Secretariat entity
- Experience with an SAP system
