Job Description

UNODC seeks a G-5 Programme Assistant in Port-au-Prince to support strengthening Haitian capacity against corruption and economic crime. The assistant will manage office administration, coordinate procurement and Umoja transactions, monitor budgets and payments, support training and missions, maintain records, prepare correspondence and reports, and provide logistical support to the project team.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Perform and follow up administrative tasks for Front Office management and functioning
  • Draft routine correspondence and process administrative documents and travel arrangements
  • Prepare budget-performance submissions and reports and analyse variances between approved budgets and expenditures
  • Create Umoja shopping carts and follow purchase requisitions, orders and deliveries
  • Raise and monitor commitments, service-entry sheets, goods receipts, invoices and payments in Umoja
  • Process low-value acquisitions, analyse quotations and maintain procurement records
  • Support workshops, missions and field consultations with travel, venue, accommodation and participant arrangements

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of work experience in administration, programme support, finance, procurement or project support, reduced to three years for candidates with a first-level university degree or higher
  • Experience supporting procurement processes including purchase requisitions, vendor management and low-value acquisitions
  • English and French are required
  • Authorization to work for the United Nations in the duty station is required for General Service applicants

Desired Criteria

  • Budget monitoring and financial reporting experience is desirable
  • Administrative and logistical support for workshops, training activities, conferences, missions or field operations is desirable
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Umoja is desirable
  • Haitian Creole and one or more years of data analytics experience are desirable
