Job Description

Based in Malatya, this UN Volunteer assignment supports IOM’s earthquake assessments and evidence gathering. The field worker will survey people in migrant and host communities, apply agreed methodologies and record data through mobile platforms. Respectful interviews, secure handling of information and regular reports on progress and challenges will support responsive humanitarian operations.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Organise fieldwork for earthquake-study surveys in the assigned province
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative interviews with members of migrant and host communities
  • Ensure interviews are sensitive, respectful and culturally appropriate
  • Follow ethical standards for confidentiality, consent and data protection
  • Enter information accurately through the designated mobile data platforms
  • Send regular updates on progress, obstacles and key field observations
