Job Description
Supports the UNESCO Institute for Statistics' learning assessment programme, contributing to production of the global SDG 4.1.1 learning indicator through data management, quality assurance and analytical support. Coordinates with countries, technical partners and internal teams on programme workplans and reporting.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support implementation of the learning assessment work programme and global learning indicator production
- Support management of learning assessment datasets including ingestion, validation and metadata documentation
- Provide analytical support to indicator production including data preparation and computation checks
- Conduct background research on learning assessment systems and international assessment frameworks
- Support day-to-day project management including progress updates and internal reporting
- Support preparation of training materials and organize workshops and expert meetings
- Compile background information for potential partnerships and funding opportunities
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in statistics, economics, data science or a closely related quantitative discipline
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in data management, research, or programme/project support
Desired Criteria
- Specialization or coursework in educational assessment or learning measurement desirable
- Experience with education data or learning assessment desirable
- Experience at the international level within the UN system or comparable organization desirable
Skills
Additional Information
- Project Appointment, 1 year with possibility of extension subject to funding availability
- Approximate annual starting salary of USD 75,325
