Job Description
Conducts ethical field data collection for IOM's Displacement Tracking Matrix earthquake study in Adıyaman. The volunteer prepares fieldwork plans, interviews host and migrant communities, and records quantitative and qualitative evidence using approved digital tools. Daily reporting and careful data protection help deliver reliable findings for humanitarian programme decisions.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Prepare fieldwork plans for earthquake-affected provinces and conduct surveys for the target nationality
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative interviews with host and migrant communities using established methodologies
- Apply confidentiality, informed consent and data-protection principles throughout fieldwork
- Maintain daily communication with IOM and flag issues, challenges and incomplete interviews
- Use designated mobile data-collection tools and platforms in line with project guidelines
- Submit daily progress updates, challenges and field observations to the IOM team
Role Requirements
- Turkish and Arabic
- Adherence to confidentiality, informed consent and data protection principles
Desired Criteria
- Previous experience in field data collection, surveys or assessments
- Experience working with migrants, refugees or displaced populations
- Experience using digital data-collection tools such as KoboToolbox or ODK
- Fluency in English
