VAM Officer (Assessments)

WFP seeks a VAM Officer in Aden to lead food-security, market and emergency assessments for Yemen’s humanitarian response. The role designs surveys, coordinates fieldwork, analyzes evidence, produces analytical products and builds partner capacity. It requires a relevant university degree, five years of experience and expertise in data quality and statistical software, plus English and Arabic.

• Lead design and implementation of food-security and market assessments
• Develop survey tools, sampling approaches and field protocols
• Coordinate field offices, partners, enumerators and service providers
• Manage remote surveys and monitor external data-collection providers
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data for humanitarian decision-making
• Produce assessment reports, dashboards and early-warning evidence

• University degree in statistics, economics, food security, agriculture, social sciences, development studies, monitoring and evaluation, public policy, geography, data analysis or a related field
• Five years of relevant experience including one year of professional experience
• Experience in survey design, sampling, statistical analysis, data quality and large-dataset management
• English and Arabic language proficiency

• Experience with humanitarian, development or socio-economic data
