Job Description

Ensures the Resident Coordinator Front Office in Kathmandu operates by managing the executive calendar, protocol, meetings, travel and information flow. The assistant prepares briefings and correspondence, coordinates high-level events, maintains records and contact lists, follows commitments, and provides administrative, human-resources and data-support cover for the office.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Resident Coordinator calendar, representation schedule, appointments and meetings
  • Coordinate briefing materials, correspondence and documents for the Resident Coordinator
  • Draft notes, meeting minutes and Note Verbales and translate official correspondence
  • Manage travel requests, flight bookings, logistics, trip reports and travel claims
  • Maintain confidential filing systems, contact lists and incoming correspondence
  • Support UNCT meetings, official events and follow-up on commitments and reports
  • Provide administrative cover including contracts, budget, finance and human-resources tasks

Role Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least seven years of experience in administrative support, coordination, logistics or front-office functions
  • English is required
  • Nepali is required
  • Authorization to work for the United Nations in the Kathmandu duty station

Desired Criteria

  • Experience supporting senior officials or executive offices including protocol arrangements
  • Experience organizing meetings, missions and high-level events
  • Experience with the United Nations, an international organization, diplomatic mission or government institution
  • Experience in data analytics or a related area
