Job Description

Advances UNICEF Cameroon’s digital education, literacy, skills-development and youth-employability programmes. The officer supports design, implementation, monitoring and evidence generation for interventions that equip vulnerable children and young people with digital, green and entrepreneurship competencies, while strengthening partnerships, advocacy, field learning and policy dialogue.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support design and planning of inclusive digital education, skills-development, entrepreneurship and employability programmes
  • Contribute strategies, workplans, learning resources and evidence generation for literacy, numeracy and workforce readiness
  • Support programme implementation, monitoring, reporting, field visits, risk tracking and resource use
  • Provide technical and operational support to government and implementing partners
  • Promote digital literacy, life skills, green skills, career guidance and entrepreneurship
  • Strengthen partnerships with government, private sector, youth organizations and development partners
  • Support advocacy, communication, resource mobilization and sector coordination
  • Document lessons learned and evidence for programme improvement and policy dialogue

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in Education, Social Science, International Development, Programme Management, Social Policy, Public Policy, Community Development or a related field
  • At least two years of progressively responsible experience in education programme development and implementation
  • Experience in digital learning, skills development, youth employability, inclusive education or a related field
  • Proficiency in English and French

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language
  • Experience in a developing country, Cameroon or emergency contexts
  • Country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
