Job Description

Supports UNESCO’s Education Sector in Yaoundé to plan, coordinate and deliver projects across Central Africa. The national assistant tracks implementation, evaluations, partnerships and reporting; maintains knowledge-management systems and project records; produces communication products; and supports technical documents, resource-mobilisation notes and stakeholder coordination.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support planning, coordination and implementation of education projects and programmes
  • Track project activities with partners and stakeholders
  • Support monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, field missions and periodic reporting
  • Maintain knowledge-management systems and project documentation
  • Produce knowledge products and share lessons, results and good practices
  • Support project communication, visibility and education-sector workplans

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in education, social sciences, economics, project management or a related field
  • At least two years of professional experience in the design, implementation or monitoring and evaluation of education projects and programmes
  • Demonstrated knowledge-management, documentation and project-results communication experience
  • Proficiency in French or English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in basic education
  • Visual communication and graphic-design tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign
  • Experience with UN agencies, education ministries or international organisations in education projects
  • Advanced digital collaboration, document-management and knowledge-sharing tools
