Job Description
Support UNICEF's education programme in Papua New Guinea as a UN Volunteer, advancing curriculum implementation, teacher development and foundational learning. The role plans and monitors GPE-supported activities, coordinates national and provincial education partners, supports textbook and teacher-resource distribution, maintains results systems and reporting, and strengthens gender-responsive and inclusive teaching practices in provinces.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support planning and monitoring of curriculum implementation and teacher-development portfolios
- Support teacher professional development on the Standards-Based Curriculum
- Coordinate national and provincial education divisions, training institutions and partners
- Monitor textbook and teacher-resource distribution in focus provinces
- Maintain results-monitoring systems and prepare UNICEF and GPE reporting inputs
- Support knowledge sharing and evidence use by government counterparts and partners
Role Requirements
- Degree in education, psychology, sociology or another relevant technical field
- At least three years of experience in education programme planning, implementation, monitoring or research
- Experience in curriculum implementation and teacher professional development
- Understanding of foundational learning including early-grade literacy and numeracy
- Experience coordinating with government counterparts and education partners
- English
