Job Description

WFP seeks a senior technical adviser to help the Dominican Republic co-design, implement and monitor digital transformation initiatives aligned with national strategies and the Country Strategic Plan. The officer will steer an innovation portfolio, build public-sector capacity, coordinate partners and establish performance frameworks that support sustainable government ownership.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Advise government counterparts on digitalisation strategies aligned with the WFP Country Strategic Plan
  • Facilitate collaboration among government, private-sector, academic and international partners
  • Oversee digital innovation pilots to ensure practical, scalable and sustainable solutions
  • Co-design digital solutions and services with programme and relevant units
  • Deliver public-sector capacity building in digital skills, innovation management and change leadership
  • Establish KPIs and monitoring frameworks for digital transformation initiatives
  • Report results, challenges and lessons learned to WFP, government and donors
  • Support legal and regulatory arrangements that define ownership and risk mitigation

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, innovation and technology management, international development or a related field
  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible international experience in digital transformation, technology, innovation or start-up leadership
  • Fluency in oral and written English and Spanish

Desired Criteria

  • Master’s degree or advanced university degree in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of another official UN language
