Overview
ITU's Climate Change and Emergency Telecommunications Division is building a roster of consultants to support green digital transformation projects tracking ICT sector GHG emissions and energy use, in support of ITU's net-zero digital sector target. The consultant will facilitate capacity-building workshops, draft digital net-zero transition plans, and support a climate footprint dashboard. Home-based, duration to be determined.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate workshops to strengthen ICT regulators' capacity to report environmental indicators
- Develop draft digital net-zero transition plans aligned with national climate priorities
- Support upkeep of a data visualisation dashboard tracking digital sector climate footprint
- Conduct national needs assessments on data collection frameworks
- Research digital company GHG emissions and climate commitments
- Prepare technical content for ITU Academy online learning
Requirements
- University degree in environmental science or related field such as environmental engineering
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in climate change, sustainability or ICT sector environmental impact assessment, including 3 years at international level
