Digital Economies Analyst

Supports UNDP’s blockchain-enabled digital economy portfolio by coordinating country payment pilots, applied research and the SDG Blockchain Accelerator, connecting governments, solution providers and country offices to develop scalable, inclusive digital-finance solutions.

• Support country offices to implement blockchain-based digital-payment pilots
• Coordinate solution providers, country teams and government actors to resolve implementation barriers
• Track pilot milestones, risks and opportunities for replication
• Develop replication packages documenting payment models and operational lessons
• Coordinate research on blockchain-enabled digital economies and payment solutions
• Lead impact assessment against Sustainable Development Goal targets
• Support curriculum development, participant selection and team matching for the SDG Blockchain Accelerator
• Organise knowledge sharing, ICT training and communities of practice

• Master’s degree in business administration, public administration, economics, political science, social science, health science or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in financial technologies with a bachelor’s degree
• Fluency in English

• Experience with financial technologies

• Experience engaging multiple blockchain ecosystems and their applications
• Experience implementing hackathons or capacity building across an innovation ecosystem
