Digital, AI and Innovation Internship: Global Call for 2026

Supports UNDP digital, artificial-intelligence and innovation work through research, horizon scanning, programme design, data analysis and knowledge products.

• Research systems transformation, innovation and emerging policy approaches
• Scan and synthesise global and regional digital and artificial-intelligence trends
• Design and document innovative policy and programme approaches
• Test approaches intended to support system-level change
• Develop knowledge products and thought leadership
• Support work on data governance, analytics, partnerships and strategic communications

• Applicants must be eligible for a UNDP internship and able to complete applications through both the UNDP vacancy link and the Airtable form
• Interest or experience in digital, data, AI, innovation, systems transformation, data governance, analytics, partnerships or strategic communications is required
• Ability to conduct research, draft analytical content and prepare knowledge or communication products is required
• English is required

• Experience with data analysis, dashboards, trackers or data visualization
• Experience developing capacity-building materials, toolkits, guidance notes or implementation resources
• Experience researching digital policy, data governance, responsible data use or digital rights
• Experience with partnerships, strategic communications, outreach or technology-sector research
