Digital Media Intern / Rome Centre for Climate and Energy

UNDP seeks a Digital Media Intern in Rome to support the Rome Centre for Climate Action and Energy Transition. The intern develops web and social content, manages digital channels and media assets, helps communicate events and campaigns, publishes pages through the UNDP CMS, monitors content performance, and contributes research and creative ideas for climate and energy storytelling.

• Draft and edit web stories, social-media posts and newsletters
• Prepare key messages, event blurbs and visual content for programmes and events
• Support day-to-day management, scheduling and posting for social-media channels
• Monitor analytics and engagement and adapt content to platform formats
• Prepare event communications packages and support live event coverage
• Draft, format and publish website content and tag media with captions and alt text

• Current postgraduate enrolment, final-year bachelor enrolment, recent graduation or postgraduate traineeship in communications, media, design, marketing or a related field
• Strong understanding of digital media across LinkedIn, Instagram, X and short-form video
• Proficiency with social media tools and content management systems
• Excellent oral and written English communication
• A portfolio of relevant work must accompany the application

• Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or comparable design tools
• Interest in climate action, energy transition and sustainable development
• Knowledge of the UN system
• Working knowledge of Italian or another UN language
