Job Description

Maintain and improve TWAS digital communications, web platforms and connected databases in Trieste. The assistant manages website operations, coordinates external developers and online forms, supports users, analyses web statistics, develops multimedia content, and assists Fellows with platform accounts while helping the Natural Sciences Sector expand science communication and programme delivery.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Manage technical operation and evolution of the TWAS website
  • Monitor website hardware and software needs and respond to malfunctions
  • Coordinate external developers and improve the Online Forms platform
  • Provide technical assistance to platform users and TWAS staff
  • Analyse website usage statistics and prepare six-monthly reports
  • Maintain interconnected databases and create requested databases
  • Produce and edit reports, web content, multimedia products and graphic designs
  • Assist TWAS Fellows with web-platform accounts and profiles

Role Requirements

  • Completed secondary, technical or vocational school
  • At least five years of relevant public information, communications production or website-management experience
  • Excellent oral and written English
  • Ability to communicate in Italian
  • Proficiency in MS Office, graphic-design software, HTML, content management systems, Google Analytics and website management

Desired Criteria

  • Experience working in an international or multicultural setting
