Job Description

Provides UNCTAD's ASYCUDA project in Liberia with customs and partner-government-agency automation expertise. The assignment delivers functional support and clear specifications and user guidance for agencies using the customs-management platform, helping modernise trade procedures, strengthen digital services and support reliable automated customs operations in Monrovia.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide customs automation expertise
  • Provide functional support to customs and partner government agencies
  • Write partner-government-agency specifications for ASYCUDA
  • Write ASYCUDA user-guide documentation for Liberia

Role Requirements

  • Master's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years
  • Experience in project or programme management, administration or a related area including digitalisation of customs procedures
  • English is required

Desired Criteria

  • Functional training delivery in a government agency is desirable
  • User and functional documentation experience is desirable
  • Experience working in an Agile approach and with Agile project-management tools is desirable
